#8 Cliche?
What is Cliche?
i. a word or expression that has lost much of its force through overexposure, as for example the phrase ⇒ "it's got to get worse before it gets better"
ii. an idea, action, or habit that has become trite from overuse
(printing (mainly British)
iii. a stereotype or electrotype plate
Base on my own understanding of this term, it is something that happen or appear so often that it lost the original idea. It also can be describe as redundancy? :}
and I found a very good example of cliche on movie posters. (i picked few of the examples)
Hero-based movie are usually showing their back in the movie posters. It somewhat gives an impression that he's a lonely hero, lol. And most of the time, standing in front of the city view/buildings.
Eye. It's sooo common that even I myself have used eye for one of my assignment during previous semester, for my movie poster design :O sh*t.
It's commonly for horror film, but Avatar is an entropy here.
good explanation on what is Cliche :D very easy to understand . (y)
