1. For e.g I wanna do intertextual references between games, I should find the similarities & differences between the few dancing games that I've chosen? & do I just compare two dancing games, or just go crazy?
Similarities
-They all require users to tap the direction keys in rhythm
-They all have virtual buildings (shopping mall, dancing hall etc)
-They all have more than two different modes
-Have leveling systems
-Have pet
-Social status, (single, couple & married)
-Have family/gang
Differences (what set them apart)
-One is Sg game, while another one is Msia game
-Game A more towards Korean pop songs, Game B rarely updates latest songs, they update pure music e.g. Canon, etc.
-Game A's virtual buildings are unique and clickable, while Game B actually using on the buttons on the top (Shopping Malls, etc) & the virtual buildings has removed/not usable.
-Main dancing mode of Game A & B is different.
is it like this? or not.
2. If I'm doing 'Game X popularity derived form its intertextuality', so the intertextuality of Game X is about anything, e.g Songs, modes, fashion (shopping mall), farm (games) & etc? Is it right?
I probably will choose 2nd one. (If what I wrote in the post is correct). >< Too many questions, sorry Daniel.
