What is Semiotics?

Basically, semiotics is the study of signs or the study of how culture creates meaning. And signs can be anything, for examples, words, images, gestures, sounds, objects and ideas; they are mediums (media) that create social and cultural meaning. In the sign system, a symbolic system are controlled by rules and conventions accepted by a group that can be learned and transmitted.
